JAMES SHAW“For a long time I was trying to ‘get it right’. I was a real control freak. Of course, this only got me so far – I was efficient, but not terribly effective, so I reconsidered the way that I work. What I’ve learned, instead of ‘getting it right’, is to ‘get out of the way’, to be open, present and connected to the people I’m working with and to work with what’s right there in front of me. Although I still like my t’s neatly crossed and my i’s clearly dotted. Just ask my colleagues.” James Shaw has over 15 years experience as a facilitator, coach, trainer and speaker in over 45 countries on four continents. He has a particular passion for environmental sustainability which permeates naturally through his corresponding work in leadership and personal development, team performance, strategy facilitation and sustainability & business practice. He is a former manager in the PricewaterhouseCoopers Chairman’s Office where he worked to develop the firm’s strategy to face the challenge of sustainable development. Since 2001 he has worked freelance and with three leadership development agencies (the World Technology Network, the Inspired Leaders Network and Future Considerations).
