22 years as L&D specialist in leadership, diversity and inclusion, and individual development. Shirley works with organisations/individuals from the commercial sector, non-profits in the UK, Europe, Africa & USA. In past 2 years her work has included delivering 30 leadership programmes to first and Senior level leaders globally.

Her experience has been wide and varied and includes an independent role as the diversity assessor for the National Probation Service as part of their recruitment processes, a facilitator of the Gender as Progress programme to the Board of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) – a subsidiary of the United Nations and one of a small team of consultants who delivered the Diversity Engagement Sessions to top 1000 leaders in Shell. Shirley has recently been appointed as a Trustee/Board of Directors to Fawcett Society, the UK’s leading campaign organisation for equality between women and men.

She is passionate about reducing infant/maternal mortality in US as the Director of Birthwise Consulting and Co-Producer/ Director of Birthwise DVD. 

Shirley is based in the UK.

  • Previous clients include: BP, Prudential, KPMG, Shell, SCiN, 2FSG, ICA, Marks & Spencer

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA (Hons) English & US Studies
  • Post Graduate Diploma in HR Development with MCI standards
  • Certified in:
    • Intercultural Development inventory
    • Richard Barrett’s Cultural Transformation Tools Accreditation Part 1
  • Completed ICF accredited Advance Coaching programme from Teleos Leadership Institute, with EQ and Gestalt underpinning. She will gain PCC accreditation from ICF in 2012.  
  • Trained in Ontological Coaching
  • Chartered Member of CIPD
