“About five years ago one of my kids started Taekwondo and I went to his first grading. On the trip home, I asked if I could train with him and he enthusiastically agreed. Fast forward four years and I am facing my next grading. The coveted black belt. This new learning experience has led me to reconsider how I can help leaders learn effectively and raise their game in a space where I have been taken me right out of my comfort zone, and which at times has caused me shame and humility as I have struggled. I have identified two key learnings, the value of practices and habits in delivering change as opposed to the ‘big moment’ approach and the importance of learning with a community of fellow learners as opposed to learning as an individual in isolation.“

Before starting his own business in 2007, Matthew spent nine years working for KPMG, one of the Big 4 global accounting and consulting firms.
